transmission
my 97 grand cherokee dumped all of it's transmission fluid on the ground
this morning as I left the house. It appears to be coming out in the area of the left front wheel well. Any ideas what broke? |
Re: transmission
That could be a broken cooler line. Or a pressure leak pissing it up
there. I would recommend you actually stick your head under there to see where it is coming from. It could be a $5.00 fix or the tranny shop could sell you a whole new tranny because you don't know where the leak is. Shops tend to take advantage of folks that say 'it's broke, fix it'. Re: transmission
Sounds like a broken cooler line to the radiator. Don't drive it, repair
the line and refil. gfillmore wrote: > my 97 grand cherokee dumped all of it's transmission fluid on the ground > this morning as I left the house. It appears to be coming out in the area > of the left front wheel well. Any ideas what broke? > |

Re: transmission
Usually that lead is your power steering hose. It is very rare for
the transmission O ring to give up, except with radiator change.
