Trails/ORV Parks

Has anyone been on the trails of Wind Rock in TN? I frequent Tellico outside
of Murphy, NC and have been to Grey Rock once outside of Gardendale, AL and
was wondering how the trails of Wind Rock compare to either Tellico or Gray
Rock. I'm about to move to Oak Ridge, TN and I hear that Wind Rock is not
too far away. If anyone knows I would greatly appreciate the information.

Thanks in advance

Bryan S

I grew up there, its a nice place to wheel. Something for everyone. My
brother-in-law is in a club there and they have some pretty serious rigs. I
can hook you up with him and his club if you'd like...email me. I have only
been to Tellico once many years ago, but I think it was very similar to
windrock.

Windrock is fantastic. Trails for every level of wheeling. You are only
about 1/2 hour from there in Oak Ridge.

Re: Trails/ORV Parks

There are numerous trails at Wind Rock, everything from ATV only to gravel
roads to extreme. But I didn't see anything like what there is at Tellico.
Granted, I did not see everything at Wind Rock but we went up one of the
more difficult (little rattle rock) and I didn't consider it as masterful as
the likes of slick rock, school bus or helicopter. Big rattle rock is even
more extreme, but it's just a bunch of big boulders that require bigger
tires and more clearance. I feel that the Tellico trails take more finesse
and skill. The camping facilities are not as nice as the ones at Tellico,
but if you live in Nuke city (very close to the trails) that won't be an
issue.
