trailer wiring
 

Peter,

On my 2000 XJ the trailer wiring tee was in the driver's rear behind the
spare. On my 2002 WJ it is also in the left rear quarter panel.

I don't know if this information about other models is of any help but maybe
it will point you in the right direction
