the TJ is rated at 4400lb / 2000kg here for a trailer with brakes ;-)
Perhaps you guys get a lower rating as you are more ligitious / compensation payouts are higher ... My wife's Cherokee, OTOH has pulled that trailer, with 2 bikes and a bunch of gear loaded, all over the country with no problem.
