Towing
What is the consensus on towing with all four paws on the pavement? I plan
to tow my YJ auto with the transfer case in neutral and the transmission in park. I don't foresee a problem, since the NP231 lube pump runs off the rear output shaft, and the transmission output shaft will be locked in place. What I am having a problem with is lighting. I currently don't have any lighting solution for the Jeep. I am towing with a motorhome, and I am considering running over to Uhaul and picking up a set of those magnetic lights that just plug into the 4-flat connector on the motorhome. Is there an easy way to tap into the Jeep's lamp harness and use the Jeep's lamps for stop and turn? I know you guys have done some towing, let's see your solutions. Juiceman |

Re: Towing
You can also get a wiring T harness from the dealer that plugs inline with your taillights, but that is for towing something with your jeep. For Towing the Jeep behind the RV I just installed a plug connector in the front bumper, so I could run a coiled cord between the RV and Jeep. Then ran wires through one of those plastic wire looms and zip tied it along the top of the frame rails to the back. That way I had a convenient plug at the rear to connect the Mag lights. Works great. Not as fancy as the wiring kit that lets you run the Jeeps lights but you don't have to cut into the factory wires. =:{) On Sun, 06 Jul 2003 02:00:37 GMT, "Jerry Newton" <fig@mcttelecom.com> wrote: >What is the consensus on towing with all four paws on the pavement?
