TJ front signal light holding water
 

Hello Group
I have had both bulb sockets replaced under warrenty
for the front signal lights on my 01TJ
due to corroding from water getting in there.
I thought that it might be bad seals but after
both sockets were replaced I still get water
collecting in them.(like a lake eh)
Anyone else see this problem and have a fix
other than replacing the sockets as mine
were replaced but didn't seem to fix the leak.

Probably not as bad. I lost a headlamp to this.
Cold damp day, headlights/bulbs warm the air inside the
plastic and air escapes, turn off the light and it cools
down and sucks in outside (humid) air. Further cooling
causes that to condense inside the lamp. Wash, Rinse, Repeat
and the fixture slowly fills up with water.

Now I keep an eye on the lamps and drain them as required.
A drain hole might help, but I'm not going to go drilling holes
just for shits and grins.

Ya! this is going to be one major pain in the butt!!!.
Chrysler really screwed this one up. My 88YJ didn't
have this problem. Winter is comming soon with
salted roads and also ice which will form inside the lense
cavity. Just wondering if other TJs let water in them
or if it's a problem I only have. Why do I think I'll
be replacing bulb sockets constantly.
