steering question

All,

Lately my '94 yj feels "loose" on the highway. It seems it wants to wander
a bit when I'm driving straight (suppose it would be worse if I wasn't).

Tonight I noticed that when turning the corner or into the driveway the
steering seems to bind a bit.

Could this be a fluid problem, or am I looking at something more? I've
haven't gone out yet to look, but know that I can't wait until spring!

Thanks,
Doug

Hi Doug,
Are you going to wait until Spring to check your engine oil, too?
If something feels like it's loose, I'd be out there underneath
checking, suppose it was a tie rod?

Could be the steering box.

But make sure the shop checks it with the Jeep on the lift, and on the ground.
