Starting my JGC?

I start my 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited every morning to go to
work. Recently, though I start it and then after about 4 to 5 sec.
later it stops. I then have to re-start it and push the gas to get it
not to do it again. Anyone know whats going on.

Thanks for the help

Re: Starting my JGC?

That can be a dirty connection on the TPS plug on the throttle body if
it is a 4.0

Re: Starting my JGC?

Your fast idle step motor is not working for one, clean it and it's
connections: http://members.cox.net/wilsond/tb/tb.html And Throttle
Position Sensor while you're there.
