Speaking of "Why would they......?"
Hey Everyone,
Today i saw someone in a late 90's TJ with good intentions, but needs a little direction. Completely stock. At least outside and under. Complete with stocker Wrangler GS/A tires, wheels, suspension. Looks like a typical Jeep on the used section of a dealership lot. Except for the snorkel air intake reaching above the roof. Good idea, but i think the $$ could have gone somewhere else. I'm as JEEP as the next guy and i'm glad to see them (well, most of them) on the road. But a snorkel on a stocker? Just had to ask, Don W |
Re: Speaking of "Why would they......?"
He probably took his upgraded suspension, wheels, and tires off when it was
traded in. A jeep is worth more stock, compared to built. The snokle is bolted to the body, so it can't be removed without leaving ugly rusting holes. |
Re: Speaking of "Why would they......?"
Oh, I don't know... while I agree with the reply, the other custom stuff
could've been removed less obviously than the snorkel. I admit that I'm too chicken and or ignorant to properly build my Cherokee, but I have considered the snorkel. The air it would bring in would be cooler and possibly cleaner than the air coming in from the wheel well... enhancing performance in addition to being able to ford deep water... it's a "dual use" conversion if you will... "...to find the truth, I've even lied." |

Re: Speaking of "Why would they......?"
The guy who was looking to replace the engine and transmission in his ZJ
could have used a snorkel. ;o) Earle "L.W. (ßill) ------ III" <----------@cox.net> wrote in message news:3F350C30.65E10F5D@cox.net... > He probably hydrauliced an engine once.
