speakers for stock cj dash

Anyone have a recommended speaker that will mount behind the stock cj7 dash?
I don't need anything that will break glass, just put out some cuntry tunes
over the roar of the swampers...

I'm pretty happy with a pair of Sony speakers I installed in my CJ8. I
needed to put in some spacers (i.e. a couple of nuts) to allow space for
the tweeter, but you'll need to do that for about any pair of speakers
(except for the really cheap-o Radio Shack paper speakers).

Re: speakers for stock cj dash

Over the roar of the swampers is going to prove difficult, but I use either
5.25 or 4.<something> (it is a standard size that is available off the
shelf) with a cone that is made of a rubberized material. My strategy is
that the rubber will withstand the weather better than paper. So far, it has
worked pretty well.

One thing that I would do differently than I did is, I would put some sort
of spacer between the speaker and the dash. What I am finding is that the
speaker rattle against the back of the dash. I don't know why, but my guess
is that the material that holds the speakers off of the dash has flattened
out.
