Softtops and Insurance
 

Hey all,

I have a '98 TJ. The summer I bought it I also bought a Kayline Softtop.

So, last fall some jackass cut a 10" long slit in one of my rear windows.

I'm wondering how insurance coverage works with aftermarket tops like this.
Since I can't very well replace just that window, since Kayline isn't around
anymore.

Has anyone else had to deal with something similar?

More common would be to check in at an auto upholstery shop. They do
seats, convertable tops, and have the plastic.

Replacement plastic ready to have sewn is is readily available at places
like www.rochfordsupply.com

Don't lock the jeep and possibly that will prevent some future slashings.
You can't really lock it anyway with a soft top.
