Softening up the ride...

Hi Folks, first time posting here, hope I'm not intruding. I recently
bout a '73 CJ5, got a great deal on it. Kid had put a 2" suspension
lift and a 2" body lift on it. It'll rattle your teeth out. Would the
suspension lift alone cause this, or could he have put really stiff
shocks on it? I want to soften the ride up, the worst it'll see with
me is some forrest service trails while I'm out running whitewater.
Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated...

Y'all be safe...

Take the lifts off and get it back to stock. Maybe someone will even buy the
lift kits off you.

May I recommend a biker's kidney belt and I hear Victoria Secret make a
body duct tape for the ladies when the sports bra just don't cut it....

One easy way to tell if he botched the spring job is to unhook the
shocks and drive it like that. You want the cheapest hydraulic 'not'
air/gas charged shocks you can find. One problem is Rancho makes an
easy to find lift shock and the unwary end up with these Rancho 5000's.
They will literally knock fillings out... White with red boots for ID.

Re: Softening up the ride...

We are all intruders here. Ordinarily, one installs a lift kit so that
larger tires will fit. What kind of rubber do you have on there?
