seatbelts in rear seat of a CJ

Anybody had luck with installing some kind of seatbelt with a shoulder strap
on the back seat of a CJ? If so how was this done?

Thanks

Re: seatbelts in rear seat of a CJ

Install a roll cage from a 92-95 YJ. The cage will bolt to your CJ, you
need to figure out a way to attach the new cage to the windshield (using a
nutzert or similar). Then you have a place to bolt 3-point belts for the
rear passengers. That is the easiest way to get it done. Also see if any
of the local 4x4 fab shops can make somethinig for you. Maybe they can add
to your current cage, or better yet a full roll cage so the people up front
are safe too.

Re: seatbelts in rear seat of a CJ

You have to change the roll bar so you have a place to anchor the shoulder
belts.

Re: seatbelts in rear seat of a CJ

Just a FYI, those are all 'sport' bars, they in no way are a 'cage' or
'roll' bar because they are not tied into the frame.

You 'can' get kits to make the stock sport bar a 'roll' bar, but a
'cage' would need to be built.
