protect the seats, until it was shown they actually wore out faster with them. Just remember that neopreme seat covers are most definitely not waterproof.
They're water-resistant but they are definitely 100% positively not waterproof Water left to sit on them will be soaked in like a sponge and you'll end up having to drive home sitting on a towel... ask me how I know. ;) Plus colored neopreme seat covers fade like crazy if they're in the sun too much.
