I had larger/wider tires in the back than in the front so they couldn't be rotated. The front tires wore out nearly twice as fast as the rear. I was running on Z rated tires that were pretty sticky, (Nitto 555s) but I will NEVER do that again. I personally get much better results from rotating. Not to mention more even tire wear when driving a vehicle with fairly aggressive tread such as my Jeep or the F-250.
