Roof top cargo bags
I need to get a roof top cargo bag for my Libby. One of the soft types
that collapses for storage. Waterproof. 13-15 cu ft. There's a lot of choices out there but I'm wondering about two things: 1. Some descriptions say "fits most factory installed rails". With that in mind, I guess another requirement would be that it attaches securely to the Libby's 2 side rails without the need for additional cross rails. 2. In general, are these soft cargo bags likely to sag and rub/rest on the roof? Or do some have rigid internal skeletons that keep them off the roof? Recommendations are better than ads - so what brands/models have you guys been happy with that you would recommend? TIA Eric |

Here's an example: http://www.prolineracks.com/Proline-...orage-bag.html This one does have a soft bottom to protect the roof, but anything that gets between the two will do damage. I've been using a roof-top rack with a waterproof bag from EMS. This is the rack: http://www.prolineracks.com/car-rack-special.html I liked the prices and service from these guys, no affiliation. Not sure if the Libby rails will work with a safari rack like this, but it's worth a try. Hope this helps, jjd |
