Electric pumps like to push fuel, not suck it. You are asking for problems where it is. Re-mount your pump on the inside of your right frame rail, just forward of the rear axle (where it straightens), with the fuel filter downstream. Mrs. CRWLR will be very annoyed to learn that I paid over a hundred bucks to fill the tank, so keep this hidden from her. I mounted the pump where the distructions said to put it, I think. I will have to look at your location, but I don't think I can put the pump inside the frame rail, and any lower than I already have it, and I will tear the damn thing off. I also have issues with the right side frame rail because that is where the hot exhaust system is. My system is such that I draw fuel through the filter, then pump clean gas up to the motor. Dirt and chunks that build up in the gas tank are stopped by the filter, assuming it actually works. > Re-mount your pump on the inside of your right frame rail, just forward of the > rear axle (where it straightens), with the fuel filter downstream. > > > Robert Bills > KG6LMV > Orange County CA > > http://www.outdoorwire.com/4x4/jeep/...p-l/billsr.htm > http://www.RobertBills.com |
