I was referring to the air filter which does allow for extra power and a couple extra mpg. I guess I need to decide if some dirt is worth those benefits on a new vehicle. Skyslider |

I clean the filter element every second oil change using the Jeep cleaning kit (P5153376). And yes I inspect for dirt/crud. If you plan to keep your Jeep for a long period the investment ($298.00 intake kit and $16.50 cleaning kit) is worth it, at least to me with gas at $3+/gal. It's your call and your $$. I wouldn't waste the $40 on just the replacement filter either. On that I agree, keep the stock one. Just my 2 cents. -- FRH |
