I've got AV software and I still won't take the chance.

You can not get a virus from a text only message. Period, end of sentence.

You can get a virus from hidden HTML, and from links that you might follow
from a text message.

The only "important" information that can be ------ from this post is that
"rec.autos." newsgroups are TEXT ONLY, and nobody ought to be posting in
HTML.
