It's a 'tamper proof' bit......I just bought a set at Kragan (local auto parts) . I have the exact same problem on my 97 cherokee in that I lost one of the screws and need the size of replacement so that I don't have to take the other screw out and risk having to take the interior off to retrieve the loose part (latch). Were you able to find the size of the screw?
