Nope... 2002 was my last season. I was almost killed at a show in Yucca
Valley. While pulling out a Full size Ford from my mud pit, a tow hook
which was bolted to the Fords frame broke loose. It landed about 150'
behind me. The 3" strap, still attached to the recovery chain landed
between my head and the roll bar of the loader I was running. The
Monster Trucks, Stadium Trucks, Mud Dragsters, Pulling Tractors and
thousands of screaming people in the stands.......all that stuff was
fine and dandy. Getting to drive the Bounty Hunter or Monster Patrol
Monster Truck into the arena during the singing of the National
Anthem......sure, once in a lifetime kinda stuff. I'm thankful for
having had the chance to be a part of the show. But when that tow hook
flew past my head that day, It scared the ---- out of me. And I don't
scare easily.....It was fun while it lasted...
