Re: 2.5L 4 Cylinder Question
Don't buy the 4-cylinder. It's underpowered and nobody - I mean
nobody - is happy with it in the long run. I wish I had a dime for every 4-banger TJ owner who said they wished they'd got the I-6. And for a jeep of that age and mileage, the price difference on a 6 vs. the 4 won't be much. alanbk@yahoo.com (Alan Karelitz) wrote in message news:<63ef7534.0306300628.259aebc3@posting.google. com>... > I'm looking at buying a 97 SE Wrangler with the 2.5L Engine. I've been happy with it for 14 years. It's simple, light, super easy to work on, and makes good power. Sure it's not a V-8. It never will be. As far as off roading, at rock crawling I can and do keep up with anyone who I choose to follow. What one lacks in power, one must make up with common sense. And after the big boys break trying to out do me, I'm always there.....with a strap to tow them back to camp. Sand and mud....places where you need lotsa power, I might try with caution. All in all, Yeah......I'm real happy with my 4-banger. On the highway, it will run as fast as I want it to. A Jeep is one of the few forms of transportation that one dumps money into to make it go slower.......so.....what's the big hurry? I Jeep......Therefore, I am... RollOver Pete...
