Question: Accuracy or Milage and Choice of Summer Top - 2001 TJ Newbie
Hi All,
I just bought a 2001 TJ SE, pretty much loaded with 225/75R15 tires. Now I am awaiting for the lien release to get a tag for it. However, I have two questions, 1) How do I know if the mileage is accurate? In my other vehicle, if someone disconnects the odometer cable, the factory shop will discover (Mercedes ML-320). The seller, who was the first owner, marked on the title "the mileage stated is in excess of its mechanical limit", and later wrote a statement to declare it was a mistake. The stated mileage is 28,178. 2) Will you recommend a bikini or a safari top in the mid Atlantic area? And where is a good place to buy such quality product? Or, will you recommend any other tops??? It currently equipped with black demi soft top. Much thanks for providing me these info. Best, Joe 01 TJ SE --------------------------------------- 99 Grand Cherokee 93 Grand Cherokee 81 CJ-7 (with a big 304 engine) |

The stated mileage is 28,178. > Mileage stated is in excess of mechanical limit means there is a 5 digit odometer that can only read to 99,999.9 miles, and the actual mileage is greater than 100,000 miles. Yout TJ has a 6 digit odometer that can raed to 999,999.9 miles. The odds are good that it has less than a million miles. > 2) Will you recommend a bikini or a safari top in the mid Atlantic area? > And where is a good place to buy such quality product? If you seldom carry back seat passengers, then either one will keep you and the other front seat passenger pretty equally dry. BesTop is probably the best product. |

The stated mileage is 28,178. Since it is a violation of federal and state laws to knowingly tamper with a vehicle odometer, this is probably the true mileage, unless you bought the vehicle from a felon. ;o) > > 2) Will you recommend a bikini or a safari top in the mid Atlantic area? > And where is a good place to buy such quality product?
