Problem: 98 ZJ Balljoints in Schaumburg IL
 

Got a friend (Phillip) in Schaumburg IL that is has been told the front
upper and lower ball joints. He says that his mechanical ability is mediocre
at best, so...

1.How difficult of a repair is this?

2. Anyone know of a reliable Jeep mechanic in Schaumbur IL? Dealer quoted
$800 to fix

Phillip loves his Jeep, and the wife says that he has had one too many
problems with it. She says sell because $800 is too much.


Any thoughts or help would be appreciated.

I personaly would be REALLY suprised if the ball joints were wore out this
early. they hold up really well in the long run. I would be getting a
second oppinion.

hell i can do it for 500.00 and that includes a nite stay over in a local hotel
in michigan
