Power Steering Pressure Line
 

I am going to be replacing the Power Steering Pressure Line in my 1993 JGC,
and am wondering if there are any tricks that I need to be aware of when I
do this?

No real tricks, but I like to have a tiny bag handy and some paper
towel to keep the fluid off the belt and the garage floor.

Clean all the dirt away from the fittings.

Some folks put sealant on the threads, but the fitting is designed
not to need it. I used it on mine. But don't use teflon pipe tape,
it's not the same thing.

Needless to say, but when checking for leaks, never feel around with
the engine running. Just run, stop, and wipe with a towel to find any drips.

You should try messing with the lower transmission pressure line
on the radiator. That is a pain in the ass and what I did last
Sunday. :(

Oh yea.. taking the air box out of the way helps greatly with the
lower fittings. Just remember to hang the front diff vent tube
back on the air box or you will wonder what that hose your dragging
is for. :)
