Paint on new Jeep came ofF!
I bought a new Rubicon, fresh off the lot in July of last year (10 months
ago). Today I was at a car wash, power washing and a half-dollar sized chip of paint on the mud flare(?) on the passenger side popped off!! Other smaller paint chip problems have occurred over the past year during a power wash, but this is the biggest most obvious blemish. My Jeep is definitely under warrantee, is this normal? Why would Jeep give their products such a shitty paint job? Will the dealership fix it? Or is this a normal wear-and-tear expectancy? What can I do? Thanks, Muuurgh |

My flares aren't painted. Isn't here too much flex for paint?

Re: Paint on new Jeep came ofF!
The painted flairs are not made of the same material as the non painted
ones. If the paint is coming off then it was poor bonding of the paint and primer or you are using one hellatious power washer. The flexing of the flairs has on bearing on the paint staying on other wise there would be a boat load of molded bumpers that the paint would not stick to. -- HarryS My 2¢ "Muuurgh" <meatbag@porkfat.com> wrote in message news:427d2102$0$19138$892e7fe2@authen.white.readfr eenews.net... |I bought a new Rubicon, fresh off the lot in July of last year (10 months | ago).
