Ox locker thoughts
Well, I've had my Ox locker in the front of my CJ, dana 30, for about 3
hours, went and played in the mud, climbed some rocks, nice setup, operates perfectly, on and off instantly, I thought there might be some disengaging lag time going on and off, but none. Both the guy that installed locker and the freind that helped me with ball joints, tie rod, axles, hub convertion etc. said that it was one of the nicest peices of machinery they've seen. If it keeps working like it did today I'm sold on them. No I didn't take pictures of it all as it went, would of made a nice write up as we replaced everything on front end with the exception of gears, ( new last year ) and rotors. But most of it is out there anyway, I read the hub convertion and axle upgrade, that guy did a lock right locker but other then that pretty much the same, so I didn't see the point in rewriting his. Thats great to hear!
As you know, mine is a very early generation one. Its not always quite so perfect with the on and off, although that might be an adjustment issue also. However, I LOVE my OX in the front! Its always there when I need it, and I never have to worry about if I hit a rock with the front diff - thats one SOLID piece of metal. lol. The only time I have had it fail to work, it has been issues with a melted cable housing from bad routing. I have that issue solved and have not had to worry about it for quite some time now.
