Thanks!
ASBC comes before ACSC... I'll be at ECOT in a few weeks -- ACOT is still around! Four hours?!? How slow DO you drive Bill? ;-)
Going 70-75 I can get from my house to Houston in 2.5 - 3 hours. Of course I guess it depends on what part of Houston you're talking about... Eric "L.W. Ah yes, ECOT, where you learn to make coffee. :) Don't worry, when your in ACOT you can look back on it and laugh. I've been there twice times, 7 level for ground radio and ACOT. The place has changed a lot. Still has the best shrimp and seafood around though. One important thing, although the chain o command has changed at beautiful Biloxi they are probably still very serious on DUI and have incentives for the gate guards to catch drunk drivers trying to get on base. If your ever in doubt get a taxi or buy a few coins from the First Shirt for free rides. Same goes for seatbelts. Two days when I drove to ACOT they had Airmen stopping each car and checking for seatbelts. This was on base in the parking lot entrance! The building where ECOT/ACOT goes on is directly South of the Generals office. So if you do depart a tad early it's safer to park on the south side. Check the Grand and the Beau Rivage, last time I was there the military ate for free on every other Friday or some such. And the Beaux ran great specials in the sports bar. Downtown basically sucks. There is one mall west of base and not much east. If you like The Rocky Horror Picture Show, it's probably still playing at the Silver Screen. The rest they give you in the inbrief. -- DougW |
