Re: A/C Evaporator on Dodge Dakota?

Carburetors and transmissions just seem to fall together for me,
but the sequence of assembling the dash controls was frustrating for me,
I'd get it half put back together and realize, I can't get to that part
from here. :-( The last heater core, an '89 Thunderbird, took me about
four hours to remove, about twenty hours to install. My arms looked like
i had fallen into a jumping cactus bush. If there is a next time, I will
remove the engine and cut an access hole through the firewall.

I'll let you know how I feel when I do get it back together. I guess some
guys are not cut out to assemble a dash - so far it's easy. I figured from
all the negative feedback I was getting from everyone it was going to be a
royal PITA - so far - not even close. It could be due to my experience in
disassembling and reassembling nuclear weapons. You think they pack a lot of
stuff behind a dashboard - lol!

I know, I paid the Jeep dealer for their labor last year. That's why I'm
determined to do this one myself. After this I'll never own an AC equipped
vehicle from chrysler.

I'm not confusing it - that's what I said - it's already done that on it's
own. I'm not one to go around polluting our planet. If I could have been
there with a trap when it sprung the leak I would have ;\

and this is why I will take it to the shop - I have no way to vacuum the
system - and while it's there I'll ask them to oil and charge it. If I'm
missing something here, let me know.
