OT: 4 wheelin' funny
The National Transportation Safety Board recently divulged they had "covertly" funded a project with the U.S. automakers for the past 5 years, whereby the automakers were installing black-box voice recorders in 4-wheel drive pickup trucks and SUV's in an effort to determine in fatal accidents, the circumstances in the last 15 seconds before the crash. They were surprised to find in 48 of the 50 states the recorded last words of drivers in 61.2 percent of fatal crashes were, "Oh Sh*t !" Only Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan were different, where 89.3 percent of the final words were: "Hold my beer, I'm gonna try somethin'." |

I'm not from Wisconsin or the Upper Peninsula, but remembering some of my
exploits in my younger days, I am lucky to be alive. I remember saying that, or something very like it, on numerous occasions. ;^) Earle "paul" <SPAMpdrapeau@wi.rr.com> wrote in message news:IZqAf.81566$Dk.40071@tornado.rdc-kc.rr.com... > > The National Transportation Safety Board recently divulged they had > "covertly" funded a project with the U.S. automakers for the past 5 years, > whereby the automakers were installing black-box voice recorders in 4-wheel > drive pickup trucks and SUV's in an effort to determine in fatal accidents, > the circumstances in the last 15 seconds before the crash. > > They were surprised to find in 48 of the 50 states the recorded last words > of drivers in 61.2 percent of fatal crashes were, "Oh Sh*t !" > > Only Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan were different, where > 89.3 percent of the final words were: "Hold my beer, I'm gonna try > somethin'." > > > > > > |

Re: 4 wheelin' funny
79.4% of the fatal accidents in the US South were preceded with the driver's
side window opening and the driver shouting "Hey Y'all! Watch This!"
