Oil pressure too high

Hi group.

95 Grand Cherokee I6 automatic 4WD

Oil pressure is usually around 40. Recently it jumps up to 80 and stays
there until I stop and the engine is idling.
What can cause this?

TIA.

Mike

Re: Oil pressure too high

A defective sender unit. That is the cheapest and easiest thing to fix
anyway.

But before you buy a new sender, remove, clean, and replace the connector
just incase rustbunnies got in there. ;)
