OBD II Error message
Vehicle is a 2002 WJ (Grand Cherokee Laredo) 4 liter automatic with
Select-trac Today I noticed the check engine light was illuminated. I performed the key on-off-on-off-on-off-on procedure and the odometer presented 2 items. The first code was "P0456" and then that changed to "done" Any words of wisdom out there concerning this? Thanks, |

Hi Billy Ray,
The kid stealing gas didn't take the time put the cap back on correctly: http://www.wjjeeps.com/faultcodes.htm It must complete the one cycle of engine running from cold to operating temperature, before the light go out: http://www.----------.com/faultCode.mpg God Bless America, ßill O|||||||O mailto:-------------------- Billy Ray wrote: > > Vehicle is a 2002 WJ (Grand Cherokee Laredo) 4 liter automatic with > Select-trac > > Today I noticed the check engine light was illuminated. Re: OBD II Error message
Thanks Bill,
The trip I was taking this afternoon was only a couple miles so the engine probably did not get to operating temperature. I understand that the P0456 code is very common but what is the significance of the "done"? -billy ray "L.W. Re: OBD II Error message
Hi Bill,
I beleive the done is needed like the five, five flashes of the light before, because it sometimes take a while to run the full diagnosis, and many times people give and saying their on and off sequence doesn't work, unless we tell them to wait for the end of test.
