75 years old and blatent running of a red light usually equals no
license and no keys, at least around here anyway. My 75 year old
neighbor did that, veered off, hit a pedistrian on the sidewalk, came to
rest against the rock wall in front of the police station. Pedistrain
died. Neighbor didn't remember a thing. Nor did he get to keep his keys
or stay in his house.

To add to the comments below:

Red light runners cause accidents of the WORST kind - side impact accidents.
Most cars do not have side impact air bags and side impact crashes cause
horribly serious injuries.

To make matters worse, red light runners are usually ACCELERATING to make
the light, so the impact is MUCH more severe than if the runner was at a
steady speed or slowing.
