NY / Long Island area installer recommendations?
any recommendations for an installer in the NY / Long Island / Nassa County area? I have a 99 TJ and looking to install a lift kit and install 33's So far the kit I had in mind was the 3.5" Super-Flex Kit by Rubico Express, but I'm not 100% married to it yet. If there's something els the installer carries and is somewhat "name brand" I could go for tha as well. Only because I trust name-brands a bit better than some supe budget kit no-one's heard of... also, any other tips, such as - should I buy the kit online and brin it, or buy what they have, and how much should I expect as far as time an money for the install to take. PS, I've been using the car as a daily driver and currently am doin about 80 miles a day, but next month that will drop to about 2 miles/day - hence why I waited so long to do this... but I still wil be doing some highway miles - so any warnings on the lift or 33's for daily driver are also welcome. thanks in advanc -- Mik Mike NY / Long Island '03 Wrangler X - Freedom Editio ----- Posted via http://www.wranglergear.co |

What engine and transmission do you have? Are you trying to take it out 4
wheeling or just like the look? If you are going to be 4-wheeling it, do you intend to do trails, rock climbing, or mudding? Which Rear end do you have?
I have an O2, with 32's and a 2 inch lift. 6cyl 5spd 3.73 rear, I can still use 5th gear but in stop and go Traffic on the L.I.E. ... I HATE IT. I love my jeep, but i cant use it as my daily driver, especially with gas prices the way they are. It also does not have the pick up that it had with the stock tires. Re: NY / Long Island area installer recommendations?
It's the 6 cyl, with a manual transmission. I can't say for sure when I'd have the time to take it 4 wheelin, s it's more for the look - but - this doesn't mean I wouldn't want to b able to go if I wanted to... I do need to keep it's ability to be daily driver thoug -- Mik Mike NY / Long Island '03 Wrangler X - Freedom Editio ----- Posted via http://www.wranglergear.co |
