I think you're talking about the choke heater?? It's used to open the choke
when the engine is hot. -- - Pablo 1981 CJ-7 Laredo 360 V8 2000 WJ Laredo QD V8 2003 TJ Rubicon "John" <johndowling01@aol.com> wrote in message news:980e169.0309041833.121b03e5@posting.google.co m... > i have a 78 amc 304 with a stock intake manifold.....right next to the > carb on the intake manifold there is a plate with 2 metal fuel lines > coming out of it.....they make a couple loops inside the intake > manifold and come out again.... one connect to the carb where it says > "rich/lean", the other line connect just to the rear of that......can > any one tell me what this part is call and/or where i can get > one.......the lines rusted through and broke.... |

Re: need help with a amc 304 engine part
the top ones should come out of the plate. I think one of mine rusted and I
was able to remove it from the plate and install another easily. IIRC they should be like brake lines, one will have a compression fitting. You might be able to bend some new ones easily. See if they come out of that plate easily. If you need pictures I think that I have a spare plate that I can take pictures of it. later, dave "John" <johndowling01@aol.com> wrote in message news:980e169.0309041833.121b03e5@posting.google.co m... > i have a 78 amc 304 with a stock intake manifold.....right next to the > carb on the intake manifold there is a plate with 2 metal fuel lines > coming out of it.....they make a couple loops inside the intake > manifold and come out again.... one connect to the carb where it says > "rich/lean", the other line connect just to the rear of that......can > any one tell me what this part is call and/or where i can get > one.......the lines rusted through and broke.... |
