Need to calibrate sending unit in fuel tank!

Hi all,

During the summer I installed a new 15 gallon fuel tank. Also a new sending
unit. Before the install I thought I checked the sending unit for
calibration. It seemed okay at the time. I thought wrong. Luckily it was
in my favor. My gauge will go from full tank to empty on the needle, but at
the empty mark I still have 2 -4 gallons still in the tank. I feel lucky
that this is the case, but if I wanted to correct the error how would I
re-calibrate the sending unit? '75 CJ5 258

Thanks Always !!!

Not sure how to fix, but I'd actually call that normal. There have
been times when I thought I must be running on fumes in my '99 TJ with
19 gal tank, yet I think the most I've ever put in has been 17
gallons. I'd leave it alone personally, but maybe someone else will
chime in with your answer.
