Mike - r.e. Grounding Dash

Hi Mike - I just read your post to Michael and just remembered when I
put my dash back together last month I noticed a long ground wire
dangling down just right of the steering column. It isnt bolted to
anything and I haven't had any problems at all?????? Confused.

That would mean you have some ground theft happening. This can be a bad
thing as it can overload the circuit it's stealing the ground through
and cause heat and melting connector issues among other sometimes
strange things.

Lots of times the second ground path is there because of the current
limit in the wire sizes.

I don't have a TJ and don't know where that wire is supposed to bolt up
to. Likely someone else here does?
