Light scratches in plastic windows
Posting this for Alex Gregory in Aussie Land:
Sorry to bother mate but I can't post for some reason! Am just wondering I have a softop wrangler with plastic windows... Is there anyway to get light scratches out of the plastic windows???? don't wanna pay the $690 Australian per window!! |
Re: Light scratches in plastic windows
Heard good things about Meguiars for polishing out scratches
(http://www.meguiars.com/) But I think it's easier to simply put some big scratches in the windows. That way you don't worry about the light ones. :) Dave http://mysite.verizon.net/res0p2es/david/index.htm On Sun, 16 Nov 2003 22:21:46 -0700, "Jerry McGeorge" <gmcgeorge.REMOVE@frontier.net> wrote: >Posting this for Alex Gregory in Aussie Land: > >Sorry to bother mate but I can't post for some reason! > >Am just wondering I have a softop wrangler with plastic windows... Re: Light scratches in plastic windows
That price seems excessive. I don't know the exchange rate or the amount of
gouging that goes on, but a Bestop tinted window kit for my YJ costs about $150.00 in the States. Contact http://www.4wd.com or another Bestop vendor and ask whether they ship overseas. Be warned however that new windows acquire scratches almost immediately. As far as removing scratches, I haven't heard of any reliable method. Heat gun? Too risky...
