A Kaiser Owning Friend Asks...

Jeep made variations on the Continental flathead six. One of my
neighbors dragged home a Kaiser some losing idiot with less sense than
------ apparently stuck a smallblock Chevy in. He bought the car and
pulled the Chevy and its THM 350 out and gave it to the church down the
street that has a minibus with a smoking engine for a fat tax writeoff.
Is there a Jeep engine that has the same bolt pattern and mounts as the
flathead six Continental engine originally in there? He wants the stock
trans and driveline and shifter so the ugly floor hole can be patched.
Also, is it reliable or a piece of ----?
