Just made almost $500.00 with my winch!

So they are demolishing the houses on the other side of the street to
make 30 story 'condos'.

Folks have been scrounging lots of stuff so my wife and I decided to go
in one of the last ones last night just to look and down in the basement
was a 1901 upright grand piano.

I came home and checked out the make and age using the serial number on
the net and they are selling from 600 to $1500.00.

So my kid got a few of his friends and my nephew showed up and I took my
CJ7 over across the site to the back door, we put my 3" wide snatch
strap and blue camping foam around the piano with a couple boards on the
stairs and I fired up my Warn XD9000i winch.

Well, it came right up out of there likity split with the boys balancing
it. I then was planning on pulling it across the boards to dirt, move
boards, repeat, repeat, but the wheels dug into the back cedar plank I
was using so the boys just balanced it and it came home on a custom
'ski'.

An old friend stopped by today out of the blue for a visit, looked at it
and gave me $500.00 for it. He is coming back to move it at his
expense.

Cool, that was about a half hour's work. I have to put on a rib BBQ
with escargot to start with home made biscuits made into strawberry
shortcakes for the helpers.

Nice piano, it was still in tune and only one ivory has a slight chip.

Bitchin.

I wish someone would drive by and winch the beat up old P. W. Levermann
upright from my living room. Can't find any info on it. Maybe its worth
a fortune.

LOL!

My 'kid' is 6'2" and 180 lb with friends as big. The days of taking
'advantage' of him/them are long over.... ;-)
