JGC oil leak help needed
 

I went out to change the oil this morning, and noticed and found I had oil
leaking from the fitting that the filter screws onto.
The fitting does a 90 degree turn from the filter into the engine and it's
leaking from the end that attaches to the engine.
The fitting is round and I don't see any bolts to remove it.

Does the whole fitting unscrew and I just need to replace a gasket?

The darn Chilton's manual is worthless on the subject.

Sure it's not running down from the valve cover?

At any rate there is an o-ring in there between
the engine and adapter. Here is a good writeup.

Excellent link, thanks. It's a torx bolt recessed in the center piece that
I wasn't seeing.

Please reply to the group how your repair went. I have the same leak, and I
can't find a torx bit short enough to remove the bolt. I looked at the
previous post, and even though the pictures are good, I still can't find the
tools shown.
