Jeep to Replace a Jeep?
 

Hi All,
I wanted to mine some information and advice from this group that has helped
me so much in the past.
I own a 93 Grand Cherokee that has been a fabulous vehicle. Now running
towards 240,000 miles, I envision a need soon to replace the lovely lady.
Obviously, I'm impressed with the model and would simply take 150,000 to
200,000 mile off her if I could.
So, if I'm looking to spend less than $10,000, that's going to get me into a
1999 or older replacement.
The questions I have are:
What year should I avoid?
Would a V8 serve me as well as the I6 has?
I don't mind the Select-Track 4 wheel drive but is there a better option I
should look for?
What's your favorite color? Just kidding on that one, but the rasberry color
I have has not performed well. The hood is all cracked and faded.
Hope this starts a meaningful discussion. Looking for solid info and not
necessarily personal opinion. You know. Like, Don't get a 19xx model because
Joe Schmoo was the project engineer on that one and really goofed it up.
