Re: Jeep recalls
You are wrong!
Our 88 was in recently for a recall. There is no time limit on a safety recall. Damn man I don't even pretend to be a mechanic and even I know that! Re: Jeep recalls
no i'm not!!!!! there are still parts in dealers hands for recalls but like your
88.but like the time i recently tried to order the gas tank recall seal for the vintage wrangler and the part came bac cancelled so if you don't work at a dealer how would you know i'm wrong esp. when jeep cancels the recall part number! so when a manufacturer cancels the part number that is effectively the end of that recall would you not agree Mike Romain wrote: > You are wrong! > > Our 88 was in recently for a recall. > > There is no time limit on a safety recall. > > Damn man I don't even pretend to be a mechanic and even I know that! > > Mike > 86/00 CJ7 Laredo, 33x9.5 BFG Muds, 'glass nose to tail in '00 > 88 Cherokee 235 BFG AT's > > mic canic wrote: > > > > there is a time limit the manufacturer has to make parts available for > > recalls i think it's 10 years > > > > JimG wrote: > > > > > I don't know about the UK, but in the states, the dealer has to honor the > > > recalls, regardless of the age of the vehicle. > > > > > > -- > > > JimG > > > 80' CJ-7 258 CID > > > 35" BFG MT on 15x10 Centerlines > > > D44 Rear, Dana 30 Front.
