Jeep project wanted
I'm looking for a project YJ or maybe a CJ-7. Not really concerned about
engine or transmission because I want to do a swap. Basically I'm looking for a basket case project to tear down and rebuild the way I want. I live on the WI/MI border and I have search locally with no success. Even one with a salvage title is acceptable, because that can be cleared off after the Jeep is rebuilt. I have a few buddies that are into Jeeps and they keep giving me ---- for not having one yet, but I want to do my first Jeep my way which is why I'm looking for a project like this. I have done a few frame up jobs like this before, just not on a Jeep yet. I am partial to the 87-95 Wrangler for some reason, not sure why. But I would consider a CJ-7 as well. I'm looking for something in the Midwest preferably. I don't mind traveling to pick something up, but I'd prefer it wasn't half way across the country. The only ones I have found so far are almost all on the east coast. There must be lots of Jeeps out there. It seems like even the good condition vehicles I find are mostly located there. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Chris |

Chris, you might contact Wabash Auto in Wabash Indiana. This guy is Jeep
Crazy. The name should be Wabash Jeep Only. He can set you up with everything you could need. Re: Jeep project wanted
If you need to transport a project (non-runner) go to http://www.car-go-ship.com
and send Liam a message. I had my Willys wagon (non-op) shipped from Colorado to WI for $600 door to door. Only took 2 days and only took 2 weeks to book the trip. I have been reading up on the Jeeps a lot, but mostly Wranglers because that's what I was looking for. I've learned a lot, but have a long way to go yet. Chris |
