Jeep/Alldata

Is the Alldata consumer product any good? If, for example, I needed to
change a water pump, would it give me step by step proceedures and diagrams?
I'm looking for a good manual for TJs.

Thanks!

Re: Jeep/Alldata

I used AlldataDIY for my cj7 a few years ago, but now the jeep is way too
modified for alldata to be of service. I also used it for my 99 dodge dakota
pickup and it saved my $100's. I was able to remove and replae my a/c
evaporator and heater core. That's not an easy taske since both are buried
deep inside the dash. Alldata is very good, but for long term the service
manual might be a better option. One year goes by quick!

Re: Jeep/Alldata

Oh yea, I forgot - Yes it does give step by step procedures and diagrams.
Sometimes the procedures jump around, depending on the complexity of the
task. For example to remove the evaporator in my trcuk it has 3-4 steps.
They are something like, 1) disconnect the battery, 2) remove the dash, 3)
remove the a/c heater housing, etc....Then you have to go to each sub-task.
In my case #2, remove the dash, was about 50 steps with even more sub
tasks...
