Help w/check engine light. How to 'tap-out' code on 95 Cherokee straight six
Hello,
I get a 'check engine light' after ~ 30 minutes of driving. It will reset if I remove the battery cable. Once reset, it comes on ~ 30 minutes. Is there a way to 'tap-out' which code is in error? I remember on an old '85 El Camino I was able to short two leads on the test jack and count the blinks. Any ideas? Please help! Thanks. Best regards, RG |

Yes we had to short the test connection to read the code like:
http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/B...414/codes.html Your wagon can be read by: Shut your engine off if it is running. Turn the ignition key to the on and off positions (do not turn the key to the start position) within 5 seconds using this sequence: ON-OFF-ON-OFF-ON: http://minimopar.knizefamily.net/fault/ Let us know what fault code you get.
