Belt dressing seems to only like fords... if you spray too much belt
dressing the belt will turn to gum, more so then belt dressing you want to
spray a dow corning silicone spray (liquid), it will clean and condition
the belt.

Your belt is worn out. Replace it and throw that belt dressing away.
IMO, belt dressing has no purpose other than quieting a worn out belt
for a day or two until you can replace the belt (or trade in the entire
car). It isn't a fix and will actually hasten the deterioration of the
belt.

Yep!
When it happened to me, the clacking was so loud that I thought for sure
I had broken something. The loud nasty noises will go away after
running for a while, but I have found that the ultimate solution , as
recommended by several others , is to replace the belt. You might want
to clean the pulleys before putting the new belt on to get rid of the
belt dressing though.

Yep!
