Your alternator didn't complain about the swimming exercise, I can't imagine
it would care about the bath. I would pressure wash, and be ready to dry the
inside of the distributor.

HINT, the WD in WD40 means Water Displacement.

pits. The caretaker asked me to never return. ;-)
