Many think names are silly, but I have often named the vehicles I have
really loved, as a token of affection, I guess you could say.
Since my Jeep is a very dark metallic purple (Deep Amytehest factory color
in 1998) and all accesories I have added are black or dark gray, I named it
"Moonshadow" after an old Cat Stevens song from the seventies. The name
makes a good CB handle too. I have the name written in fairly small script
(1 inch high) on the windshield frame right above the wipers. It can be
read from a passing car, but seems more understated than putting it in
large letters on the side of the hood.

I have a 94XJ in flame red, call it Ruby, was really named by my friends
since they are well aware of my obsession in getting the Wrangler Rubicon
ed. and since the jeep is red and Rubi form Rubicon has similar spelling to
Ruby.. well you get the idea.
