Hard top window

A while ago I posted asking if anyone knew if Icould get side windows for
a CJ7 hardtop, since I smashed mine, acually twice on the same trail,
different tree. So had no replies from here, no luck on any of the parts
sites.
Anyway today I decided I'd had enough looking at the X of duct tape
holding it together so I went to the body shop to see about replacement, 81
CJ7, hardtop side window, she looks on computer, nothing, so she phones
their glass supplier, he knew right away what she was talking about, said
they are absolete, don't make them anymore, try the wrecker.
So I went to a house window making company to see about getting a peice of
1/4" plexiglass, it only comes in 4'x8' sheets, will cost me $210.00 plus
tax, so the glass guy says why don't you just put safety glass back in, I
said didn't know you could cut that. How much? He says $11.00 a square foot.
So for under $50.00 I get a new window 1/4" glass. Something for everyone to
keep in mind if you break one.
